Current Southern territory sales manager, Doug Chappel, will be leaving Tsurumi Pump at the end of March to pursue an opportunity with a company in the aerospace industry.  During Chappel’s tenure with Tsurumi Pump, he played an instrumental role in providing outstanding service to the company’s distributors. By immersing himself into the South he successfully cultivated relationships with customers and reshaped the landscape. His efforts have shown great results for Tsurumi Pump.

“While it’s never easy to lose a teammate, the opportunity for Doug was one that couldn’t be passed up,” said Chuck Rickman, vice president of sales at Tsurumi Pump in North America. “We wish him well and are pleased that he has agreed to work with his replacement and provide ongoing support throughout this transition.”

Kevin Boicken will be transitioning from the Midwest territory to the Southern region over the next two months.  Boicken’s application experience, product knowledge, and proximity to the region will give the stability needed to continue the company’s progress in the South. Boicken will be visiting distributors for lunch and learns and visiting jobsites to give engineering expertise. Boicken will also continue attending trade shows to represent Tsurumi.

“I’m very excited to get to know who the distributors are in the territory and build solid relationships with the individuals at those companies, along with educating them on the benefits of Tsurumi Pump,” Boicken said.

Joe Ranieri, former rental market manager will transition to Midwest regional sales manager. Aside from growing sales in the rental market, Ranieri has played a pivotal role in improving Tsurumi’s online presence. He has also been responsible for ensuring all customers are compliant with Tsurumi’s pricing model. In his new role, he will continue to attend trade shows and will become more involved with Tsurumi’s distribution network.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to be transitioning to Midwest Regional Sales Manager,” said Ranieri. “I am excited to meet our distributors and cannot wait to grow Tsurumi’s business in this region.”

Mike Grant, rental market manager, will pick up the entire rental market in the interim while finding a permanent replacement to help Grant cover the rental market.

“We’re enthusiastic about these changes and predict a smooth transition for our dealers,” said Rickman.
